Planning your walk-in freezer

  • Usable volume: allow for racking, air flow, and door swing
  • Location: check floor level, access route, and ventilation for the condenser
  • Electrical and drainage: confirm supply and defrost water route
  • Temperature needs: freezer setpoints are typically below -18 C, verify model spec
  • Compliance: align with landlord, insurer, and local rules before install

Operation and care

  • Keep door seals clean, defrost and clean drains as scheduled
  • Load on racks, do not block evaporator air paths
  • Record temperatures for HACCP logs
